We are excited about our partnership with United Educators (UE), one of the foremost insurance providers for independent schools and youth-serving organizations in the US. This partnership enables any member of UE to receive a rebate of up to 6% on their insurance premium by joining Learning Courage and completing an Assessment. Check out the information below to learn more about how you can save money while also making your organization safer.

  • This is a limited opportunity based on space availability for the 2024-25 Risk Management Premium Credit (RMPC) program (for UE members renewing between May 1, 2024, and April 30, 2025).
    • To select the Learning Courage sexual misconduct risk assessment, go to your RMPC program Intake Form, select Sexual Misconduct, and then select the Learning Courage option. After we complete our risk assessment, ask us for an attestation for the RMPC program. UE only needs the attestation to award the credit. Your organization doesn’t need to upload or share the Assessment Report or Action Plan.
  • Work directly with Learning Courage. Make sure we schedule your Assessment early in your policy year to ensure we are able to complete the Assessment Report before the final RMPC program deadline.

The following information is also available on the United Educators website and is designed to help you understand the program and how to become eligible for the premium credit from UE.

Q: Can you provide step-by-step instructions to implement the Learning Courage sexual misconduct risk assessment for the RMPC program?

A: If your organization would like to implement Learning Courage’s sexual misconduct risk assessment:

1. Select Sexual Misconduct.

2. Select the option that refers to Learning Courage. Your confirmation message will include contact information for the Learning Courage team that will conduct the assessment.

3. Contact and work with Learning Courage directly. To protect members’ privacy, UE and Learning Courage don’t share member or client information.

4. After your organization completes the assessment, ask us for an attestation that you completed the assessment.

5. Return to your RMPC program dashboard and go to the Summary Form.

6. Upload the attestation, which must be dated between the start of your policy year and the RMPC program deadline. You only need to provide UE the attestation — you don’t need to upload your assessment results.

7. Click Submit.

8. After UE reviews your attestation, we’ll award the premium credit and send a confirmation message.

Q: How do I know whether my assessment is eligible?

A: To qualify for the premium credit, your organization’s assessment must be conducted between the start of your policy year and your final RMPC program deadline.
Assessments completed in previous years don’t qualify for this year’s RMPC program.

Q: Does UE or the RMPC program offer a discount on Learning Courage?

A: Like all other RMPC options, Learning Courage’s sexual misconduct risk assessment is eligible for a premium credit that is applied to the member’s next renewal. RMPC program participation doesn’t offer a pre-purchase discount on any Learning Courage service.

Q: When does UE award the premium credit?

A: UE awards the premium credit when the member uploads its attestation.
Members who work on the recommendations in their Learning Courage Assessment and Action Plan may also be able to select other relevant RMPC program activities related to treating sexual misconduct risks.

Q: How is my organization’s data and privacy shared with Learning Courage?

A: UE doesn’t share your data with Learning Courage, and Learning Courage won’t know your membership with UE until you request an attestation. Likewise, Learning Courage doesn’t share school-specific data from our Assessments with UE.

To earn the credit, your organization must notify UE that it completed its Learning Courage sexual misconduct risk assessment. Without that notification, UE won’t know your organization implemented the assessment.

Q: This is a great program, but it will take us a long time to get stakeholders on board. If my organization takes a while to decide to select this option, will UE guarantee our eligibility this year?

A: While we hope to extend this offer in the future, this is a limited opportunity available in the 2024-25 RMPC program (for UE members renewing between May 1, 2024, and April 30, 2025).

Q: We’re working with a different provider to treat sexual misconduct risks. Does that count?
